A. Payment through state-operated campuses (see above for which schools fall under this category):

In most cases, as a SUNY faculty member, you will be required to get prior approval from your department chair and/or your chief academic officer (Provost). Once prior approval is granted, you must meet with your campus HR office and initiate the process to complete your extra service forms. Payment for your textbook manuscript or peer review will be authorized upon publication of the manuscript or completion of the review.

You (the author or reviewer) is responsible for getting prior approval and obtaining extra service forms before work begins on your manuscript or review.
